Agriculture Engineer

Salary: £36,000 – £40,800 per year

Brightwork’s client is currently recruiting an Agriculture Engineer for their site in Durham. The candidate will diagnose and service agriculture machinery along with client site visits. Strong level of knowledge agriculture machinery, installation, use repair of equipment.

Purpose of Role

Responsible for technical and electrical diagnostics on machinery and attachable equipment. Hands on approach and may spend some of their time working on machines, advising and supporting others in the workshop. Maintaining and repairing customer machinery and preparing new machinery for delivery, whilst providing an excellent level of service to our customers.

Main Responsibilities:

• Service, repair, maintain, diagnose and fault find on agriculture machinery
• Skilled and experienced in hydraulics, mechanics and electricals
• IT proficient in order to operate a laptop and diagnostic equipment and software packages
• Ensuring that all equipment and machinery are properly operated and maintained
• Monitoring parts and replenishing supplies as needed
• Ensure compliance with all healthy and safety procedures
• Maintain clean and tidy worksite and work vehicles
• Travel to customers and farm sites

Key Skills:

• Experience and qualifications e.g., City and Guild, NVQ or SVQ qualifications in Engineering (Agriculture etc)
• Skilled to master engineer/technician level
• Good level of experience within the workshop environment
• Experience in construction plant, diesel engines, electrics, hydraulics, transmissions, and fault finding
• Able to work on own and as a team
• Good communication skills
• Initiative
