Aerospace Fitters

Salary: £14.4 – £26.84 per hour

We are AMS. Our Contingent Workforce Solutions (CWS) is one of our service offerings; we act as an extension of our clients’ recruitment team and provide professional interim and temporary resources.

Our client is a globally respected engineering organisation, providing white collar, Blue collar and engineering services to many sectors including energy, aerospace, marine and defence.

On behalf of this organisation, AMS are looking for Aerospace Fitters for a 12 Month contract based within the Derby site.

Daily Duties:

• Fitting, instrumentation and/or modules using the direction of engineering drawings and technical specifications
• The Mechanical Fitter will raise non-conformance issues
• The Mechanical Fitter will be working to set deadlines to achieve performance targets and Customer delivery commitments
• Working in a compliant manner to ensure that products are built to the correct technical and quality specifications
• The Mechanical Fitter must ensure Health & safety is kept to a high standard, always

Requirements:

• Candidates must be able to demonstrate experience in using a variety of engineering equipment and the ability to interpret engineering drawings and apply instructions correctly to achieve required product quality
• It is essential that you hold a time-served apprenticeship and an NVQ level 3 qualification or an equivalent in the same discipline

Additional:

• 3 shift patterns (Morning 6am-2pm, Afternoon 2pm-9pm & Nights 9pm-6am)
• Must provide qualification certificates
