Our client is looking for administrators to provide support to a police legal team based in Holborn.
These are full time roles with hybrid working arrangements in place.
Purpose
This is an administrative role in a finance team with responsibility for:
- To be a point of contact for inquiries from MPS Staff, National Legal Services Framework (NLSF) firms, Counsel Chambers and Directorate of Legal Services (DLS) Case holders in relation to payments made on case work.
- To verify, download and process invoices for NLSF firms and Counsel Chambers and liaise with DLS Lawyers and MPS Clients to authorise payment and progress any resulting queries.
- To check and process Financial cap request forms for External Contractors and deal with any resulting queries.
- Process BACS remittance payments and send to the payees.
- Verify and process the NLSF Firms daily payment requests
- Initial point of contact for queries relating to Emergency Boarding Up, liaising with contractors and investigating circumstances where liability is in question and to verify call out information prior to payment.
- Monitor all MetLaw outlook mailboxes, dealing with any enquiries that are received via email
- Provide assistance and support to the MetLaw Team and the Band D.
- Other Ad Hoc tasks, projects within the MetLaw Team
Desirable Criteria:
- Working knowledge of police IT systems
- A high standard of communication, both written and oral
- Excellent attention to detail
- Experience of working in a high-pressure environment, managing a high workload
- Experience of using own initiative and working to deliver results with minimum supervision
This is a temporary role for an initial 6 months with potential for it to be extended beyond, paying £17.90 per hour PAYE incl. AWR holiday uplift.
