Job Role:
Providing a range of accounting services to a variety of Business Services clients and providing support to the audit team as and when required.

Responsibilities:
* Preparing accounts for business clients comprising sole traders, partnerships, LLPs and companies.
* Preparing business tax computations and Corporation Tax returns.
* Ensuring accounting records for clients are maintained and kept up to date and overseeing the completion of VAT returns.
* Providing varied administrative and business set-up services for clients.
* Dealing with clients by letter, phone and e-mail.
* Supervising and coaching assistants and trainees

Knowledge, skills and attributes
Essential
* Newly qualified ACA / ACCA, although part qualified ACA/ACCA or qualified AAT with relevant experience will also be considered.
* Enthusiastic self-starter, who enjoys new client activity and is looking to progress their career.
* A committed, accurate, methodical and enquiring approach to work.
* An ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.
* Proficient in MS Office (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook).

Desirable
* Experience of preparing accounts for farming and other agricultural businesses.
* Detailed knowledge of electronic accounting packages such as Sage, Xero, Farmplan, Landmark.
* Familiarity with personal and business tax regulations, plus VAT and PAYE.
