Accounts Payable Team Leader

T2M Resourcing are recruiting an Accounts Payable Team Leader to join a highly successful international company. Working within a ‘world class’ finance team you will play an important role within the Finance Shared Services Centre, ensuring the smooth running of the full cycle of accounts payable activities with a strong emphasis on building and maintaining client relationships ensuring service standards are of the highest level. Salary £30,000 – £33,600Plus Benefits Package.

What will you do as Accounts Payable Team Leader?

• Supervise a small team of Accounts Payable Clerks by assigning and directing workload.

• Manage the transactional activities across the team

• Ensure month end reporting deadlines are achieved • Manage urgent payment requests and queries

• Establish reporting mechanisms for the business and internal KPI’s

• Maintain existing Accounts Payable training documents and update periodically

• Implementation of training and development requirements for staff

• Ensure metrics are gathered and reported on a monthly basis

• Liaise with staff at all levels across the business

• Enhance communication with vendors and customers

• Maintain relationship with Management accounts and banking team for all accounting deadlines

• Send payment runs via BACS

• Prepare accruals and reconciliations for Month End

What qualities and skills are we looking for you to be successful in this role?

• Ideally you will have worked within a large organisation and have a good understanding of corporate structure.

• Good technical knowledge of Accounts Payable / P2P processes

• Educated to A-Levels (or equivalent) standard and ideally AAT level 3 qualified

• Highly computer literate, with previous experience of MS Dynamics, Open Accounts, SAP or JD Edwards. MS Office Products – Advanced (Vlookup / Pivot) – Essential

• Readsoft OCR Solution

• Competent working in a high transaction volume environment

• Confident, articulate and passionate about personal and team development
