Established in 2004, we are one of the fastest growing and largest providers of specialist behavioral health services for children and adults in the UK.
Today, we provide services for over 2,300 individuals in almost 300 services. We work with over 140 public authorities and employ more than 6,800 people. Today, Cambian provides services in mental health rehabilitation, learning disabilities, education, acquired brain injury rehabilitation, impaired hearing and, more recently, children?s residential care, fostering and specialized services for children experiencing sexual trauma.
We currently have a vacancy for an Accounts Payable Supervisor to primarily supervise and manage the day-to-day operations in the accounts payable team. The role will report directly to the Accounts Payable Manager where you will play an integral part of the finance function. This is an exciting role for an Accounts Payable Supervisor to take the lead on the Accounts Payable function based in this a fast paced and dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities include:Supervise the AP team by assigning and directing workloadEnsuring suppliers are paid accurately and on timeEnsure month end reporting deadlines are achievedEnsuring the management of projects is correctly handled and invoices are allocated correctlyEstablish best practice and process improvement, along with the role of procedures for the Account Payable functionRunning weekly reports ensuring invoice approvals have been sent and received.Ensure processing backlogs are eliminated or identified in advance to eliminate risk to supplier payments and both businesses reputationsLine management for the Accounts Payable ClerksMaintain existing Accounts Payable training documents and update periodicallyLiaise with staff at all levels across the businessPrepare accruals and reconciliations for Month End

Essential Experience and Skills RequiredThe successful candidate will have at least 2 years? experience working at this level supervising a team of 5 or more.You will have the ability to work to targets, achieving objectives and meeting deadlines.Attention to detail, accurate when working under pressure and to deadlines is essential.You must be able to multi task, solve problems and take responsibility for resolution.Microsoft Great Plains is desirable for this role
