6 Month Accounts Payable Clerk
Marston Holdings are hiring for an experienced accounts payable clerk to join our team, based in our Oldham office. This is an office base role, on a 6 Month Fixed Term Contract.

In a nutshell, we are the UK’s largest judicial services company and pioneers in clean air technology, offering services that support local and central government, utilities, and private sectors through the delivery of market leading integrated technology-enabled solutions from design and implementation to management and recovery.
The group currently has revenue of £270m, employs nearly 5,000 staff and has a network of 1,000 self-employed enforcement agents. The business operates 21 lines of business across several trading entities, primarily in the UK.
The Position & Key Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years’ experience in an accounts payable role, working in a similar environment. You will be a team player, confident communicator and will have a strong knowledge of excel.
The successful candidate will ensure that all client and self-employed enforcement agent payments are paid / allocated right first time.
- Process client payments and payment uploads to the banking platform.
- Process Self-employed enforcement agent payments.
- Manage all intercompany balances recorded within the Accounts Payable ledger.
- Allocate all contra postings within the Accounts Payable ledger.
- Create payment journals for consolidated invoices / credit card charges to ensure that costs are recognised correctly across the business.
- Process high volume purchase order invoices via the D365 workflow, ensuring that all supplier invoices are paid as per our internal processes and procedures.
