We are currently looking for an Accounts Assistant to work for a production company based in Bedminster, Bristol. This is a really exciting opportunity and the right person will be offered a permanent contract after initially working through us during probation. This is a really varied role so no two days will be the same.

You need to be highly organised and able to adapt and multitask. Full training is provided. Accounts experience is desirable however this role can be trained to the right person.

Duties:
Complete control of the Purchase Ledger.

Matching invoices with delivery notes and internal purchase orders.
Liaising with company buyer to resolve queries etc.
Entering invoices (approx. 300 per month) onto financial system.
Preparing monthly payment run for all company suppliers – approx. 120 active each month.
Liaising with and handling queries from suppliers.
Entering and allocating payments to suppliers onto Opera.

Reconciling balance due on Opera to statements received from suppliers.
Filing supplier invoices.

Additional Duties:
Reconciling all bank accounts.
Control of Petty Cash
Maintenance of Annual Leave records for all Company staff
Download and reporting from employee time recording software.
Annotating where employee has taken annual leave; sickness; out of office
Annotating where employees have arrived late and left early.
Preparing variations in hours worked recorded to be forwarded to payroll manager.
Maintenance of personnel records and GDPR compliance.
Including: Extracting Tacho data from the HGV vehicle and make available to management.
Further administrative tasks may be added over time.

Assisting in the maintenance of the Sales Ledger as holiday cover:
Emailing sales invoices to customers
Uploading sales invoices onto customer dedicated EDI systems.
Uploading sales invoices to bank.
Entering and allocating receipts from customers onto financial software.
Reconciling balance due on Opera to statements received from customers.
Emailing payment reminders to customers
Liaising with company sales team to resolve customer sales queries etc.

Shift:
8am – 5pm Monday to Thursday.
8am – 2:45pm Fridays.
38 hour working week, 1 hour unpaid break.

Job type:
Full-time, temporary initially leading to permanent after roughly 12 weeks.

Salary:
Weekly pay during probation.
£23,000 – £28,000 based on experience.
