As Accounts Assistant, it is vital that you have experience of bank reconciliations within a transactional accounting team from your recent career experience.
Day to day duties:
Allocating payments received, including those received via; bank and card payments
Investigating any unknown payments
Maintaining a record of payments paid in advance
Reconciling card payments on a daily basis
Investigating missing receipts
Processing payments on Online Banking
Cashbook reconciliation
Producing cashbook reconciliation reports
Complete cashbook reconciliation spreadsheet
Chasing payments via telephone and email
Making payments via BACs and Cheques
It is important that you are enthusiastic, a strong communicator and pay careful attention to detail. Also, you will be a candidate who researches the business you work for rather than just your day to day responsibilities.
