Accounts Assistant

An excellent position has become available working for a large exclusive client of mine based near Aston. The business itself has many areas of expertise which have allowed the companies turnover to soar in recent years with their name becoming more famous by the day. Due to their consistent growth they are looking to recruit for an Accounts Assistant who wants to grow along side themselves!

The successful candidate will be joining the business as an Accounts Assistant working with qualified accountants. Within the role itself you can expect to be working with all round accounts covering elements of Purchase and Sales ledger where would will help with general processing and queries as well as assisting with payment runs, and completing statement/bank reconciliations. In addition to this, you will also be able to get direct exposure to management accounts, looking after numerous sites for the business and learning from qualified management accountants and visiting different business areas to help produce results.

Due to the diversity of the role it is essential that you have a good amount of accounting experience in a junior accounts role as they will not train you on the very basics of the role.

Ideally, you will have:

Exposure to the property or retail industry (ideal but not essential)
Experience in a practical accounts role (e.g. accounts assistant, finance assistant, finance apprentice etc)
The ability to adapt to a new processes and different ways of working
The ability to deal with a variety of personalities
A great attention to detail
