Accounts Assistant

Salary: £30,000 per year

This well-established growing organisation are looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their team. This role will be fully office based and due to the location, you must be a car driver.

Accounts Assistant – About The Role

In this role you will be reporting into the Financial Controller and will be required to constantly communicate with other sites. This role will be a mixture of purchase & sales ledger as well as assisting within other areas. Your key responsibilities will be:

* Setting up new supplier accounts and maintaining existing account details.

* Obtain approval, code and post invoices onto Sage for multiple divisions.

* Reconcile supplier statements and all direct debit payments.

* Arrange purchase ledger payments within the correct time frame and posting bank payments into Sage.

* Resolve purchase invoice queries raised by approvers and management accountants.

* Maintain and control ledger balances for accounts owned and specifically matching receipts against invoices.

* Generate and post sales invoices into Sage for multiple divisions.

* Resolve invoice queries raised by clients and site managers over phone/email.

The successful Accounts Assistant will have:

* Previous experience in a similar position

* AAT qualified or QBE candidates will be considered.
