Accounts Assistant

Salary: £30,000 per year

This multi-site market leading organisation are looking for an Accounts Assistant to join their team. This role will be fully office based and the ideal candidate will be available at short notice.

Accounts Assistant – About The Role

In this role you will be reporting into the Finance Manager and will be working within a finance team of 3. You will be required to handle both purchase & sales ledger whilst also assisting the Finance Manager with other accounts duties. Your key responsibilities will include:

* Carrying out all necessary credit control duties to ensure the timely recovery of debt.

* Collating and reviewing information in relation to the ledger and reporting to the Credit Control supervisor regarding key issues.

* Reconciling and posting purchase ledger invoices to live accounts.

* Working closely with the Finance Manager to ensure month end & year end deadlines are met.

* Coding invoices and making payments to new & existing suppliers.

* Posting and reconciling banking and receipts.

The successful Accounts Assistant will have:

* Previous experience in a similar position

* Good working knowledge of Excel

* Good communication skills
