Account Manager – South and North Yorkshire

To develop and exploit business opportunities within a defined account list. Through focused account management increase penetration of opportunities, through selling the total Canon portfolio to existing customers and new client accounts, while increasing total billable volume. This is achieved through building excellent internal and external customer relationships, managing resources, challenging existing customer practices and being a strong ambassador for Canon.
Responsibilities and tasks
- Ensure all payplan targets and KPIs are achieved by selling value propositions including products, solutions and professional services to new and existing customers, within specified accounts and/or territories.
- Utliise all sales tools relevant to individual accounts / opportunities
- Act on requests from internal stakeholders and departments in order to support Canon’s strategy and business needs
- Provide regular account and activity updates to the Sales Manager
- Provide accurate forecasting and strong opportunity management in CRM system
- Co-ordinate the efforts of internal virtual teams to ensure the full portfolio is maximised in every potential customer.
- Constantly develop and maintain strong relationships with key customer contacts.
- Effective Machines In Field management of nominated accounts.
- Actively seek relevant information to stay ahead of the competition and remain up to date with the industry.
- Create and implement Customer Account Plans inline with market and target, utilising relevant sales methodology.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Proven record of achieving sales budgets and targets
Able to deliver high quality against tight deadlines
Strong oral and written communication
Good IT skills – Excel, Microsoft Office
Ability to work on own initiative as well as within a team
Strong negotiation skills
Ability to align Regional business to a National & Corporate strategy
Ability to adapt and work effectively in both traditional and progressive environments
Full clean driving licence

Further Information:
Location – ideally living in North /West Yorkshire as may have to travel North but covering
York, Leeds,Bradford,Sheffield
Salary – £27,000 – £37,800 dependent upon experience OTE from £45,000 – £70,800 uncapped + company car/car allowance
