Account Manager – Multi Million Pound UK Reseller

The Role:

Our Client is currently recruiting for Junior & Senior Business Development Managers to work within their Account Management team within our new offices.

Key Purpose of the Role:

To build and manage a sustainable and profitable new business pipeline and to develop existing revenue streams by creating new opportunities in order to meet and exceed pre-agreed targets set by the business. To develop an in-depth understanding of the products and services supplied to a level that will allow the location, and development of new revenue generating leads and opportunities. Initially a significant part of this role will be telemarketing based to provide the candidate with the skills and attributes required to generate new business opportunities. Training will be supplied in order to equip new recruits for this role.

  • Cold call and prospect new clients.
  • Manage and grow current clients.
  • Engaging with SMB, Corporates and Public sector
  • Understanding pains and issues in the IT Department
  • Engaging with key players
  • Scoping out requirements, budgets and timescales for position
  • Managing deal and pipeline
  • Accurate forecasting for quarterly business
  • Closing deals – selling value add services / solutions to Schools and Colleges
  • Selling full portfolio of products.
  • Huge database to work from

Account Manager – The Candidate:

  • Motivated and proactive person to win new business and develop existing accounts
  • Internal / External Sales experience, closing and winning new business, preferable within IT sales
  • Presentation creation, confident presenting skills and business case document creation are essential
  • Previous experience in working at a competitor is preferred
  • A period of high activity will be required to build a pipeline and the interview process will involve showing previous experience of achieving this successfully
  • Experience of at least 1 – 5 years and examples of success in IT solution selling in previous role’s is preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent influencing and negotiating skills
  • Excellent financial and commercial acumen
  • Belief in delivering profitable revenue growth & customer satisfaction
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Accurate planning, forecasting and reporting against sales plan and targets
  • Computer literacy and system skills and knowledge are essential
  • The ability to work with the minimum of supervision, be part of a team, present a quality image and on occasion be willing to work unscheduled hours when required
  • A full driving licence
