The Internal Account Manager will develop new business and maximise sales through pro-active inbound telesales calls. To deliver a high-level of service to all potential and existing customers whilst increasing sales, product lines, profitability and developing long-term business relationships.
This role is 70% office based and 30% field based. The role is purely managing existing business and does not involve any cold calling or new business targets.
Basic is c£27,600 with £9,600 bonus
The responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Identify new business opportunities at all times and prospect for new business everyday through outbound telesales activity
- Identify opportunity to quote and send the same day
- Proactively increase the product range sold into each customer
- Understand and fully utilise sales tools provided by the Outbound Telesales Team Manager/Sales Manager in order to maximise the full potential and spend of each customer
- Achieve an initial gross profit margin as set by Outbound Telesales Team Manager/Sales Manager
- Achieve initial new business sales target as set by Outbound Telesales Team Manager/Sales Manager
- Achieve increased sales of an agreed percentage on existing customers, as set by Outbound Telesales Team Manager/Sales Manager
- Ensure all computerised records are kept up to date
- Follow and achieve weekly and monthly objectives as set by the Outbound Telesales Team Manager/Sales Manager
- Actively support all marketing campaigns/outbound promotions by maximising take up where possible
Skills, knowledge and qualities required:
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role
- Proficient in accurately pricing, maximising profitability whilst protecting GP%
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office for Windows (Outlook, Word and Excel)
- The ability to multitask, be organised, agree priorities and meet deadlines
- The ability to adapt to change
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Sound knowledge of customer base, customer needs and sales cycle an advantage
- Excellent knowledge of product, competitor and dealer network desirable
- Solid practical understanding of Kerridge is desirable however full training will be given
