Account Manager required to provide support and relationship management assisting clients with their current and future product requirements, cross selling new products and features. As Account Manager you will identify new clients and their requirements and coordinate the terms of engagement contracts and ensure the smooth hand over of the project to the relevant Product Owner.
At a strategic level the Account Manager will continue to engage with the customer and attend stakeholder meetings acting as the escalation point as and when required. You will take full ownership of managing the relationship with the client from change requests to keeping them up-to-date with latest product developments.
What are your responsibilities?
- To develop a good understanding of a client’s structure, business model and future strategy
- Maintain account plans and utilise a CRM tool for forecasting and reporting
- Manage a pipeline of change requests and defects
- Conduct product presentations to all levels of the customer organisation
- Author SoW
- Maintain all forms of contracts including Licence Agreements, Consultancy Services, Support & Maintenance agreements, NDA and SoW
- Provide support as required to the build team including BA, architect, PO, scrum masters, developers and testers to ensure successful Change Request implementations
- Manage clients release cycles and testing windows
- Maintaining a current understanding of the company’s product features and functions and how these are applied, such as; regulatory requirements, business drivers and evolving customer business needs.
- Attend industry conferences to maintain knowledge of industry issues and market direction.
- Assist marketing with support for events, PR, seminars and campaigns
Experience required:
- Proven track record (at least 2 years) in the role of account manager within the general insurance industry and ‘supply chain’ e.g. brokers, intermediaries etc.
- Proven experience in software solution delivery
- Excellent knowledge of the software development lifecycle
- Proven experience of working with Agile Teams would be advantageous
- Degree in Business, Marketing or IT related area favourably regarded
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- An understanding of Agile practices would be a distinct advantage
- To build rapport and maintain longer term relationships internally and externally
- In-depth Insurance Industry knowledge, particularly in personal lines
- Ability to engage confidentially at senior levels with customer organisations
- Experience of presenting at management level
- Excellent stakeholder management
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong presentation skills including strong ability with PowerPoint
- The ability to work collaboratively and to build relationships with those outside of your direct influence
- A proven enthusiasm for learning and technology
- A ‘can do’ flexible attitude
- Highly motivated and self-disciplined
- Willing to travel, at times extensively, within the UK and abroad
