The role

Working as a 7.5ton driver delivering kitchen equipment and parts to schools, hotels, prisons and the public sector across the UK, Scotland & Ireland. This role is offered on a temporary to permanent basis. Standard working hours of 40hrs per week, however overtime will be required on a regular basis.

Duties will include:

Driving a 7.5 ton Luton transit van to various locations and ensuring the safe delivery and receipt of items as required.

Requirements:

•  Candidates must hold a full UK driving licence, have never been banned from driving and must have no more than 6 current points on their licence.

• Candidates will ideally have 7.5 ton entitlement on their licence and have completed their CPC

• Capable and qualified to drive and provide an effective and efficient delivery service.

• Capable of promoting a professional image whilst dealing appropriately with both external and internal customers.

• Capable of ensuring that all documentation meets company and legislative requirements

• Ensure loading, delivery and collection is carried out safely and in line with customers’ requirements.

• Carry out daily safety checks on the operating vehicle and maintain a weekly cleaning procedure of the vehicle.

• Work flexibly as part of a team, to achieve deadlines

• A flexible attitude towards working hours is essential as early mornings and later finishes will be required.
