Our client provides key desktop and software support to the charity sector. An excellent opportunity has now arisen for a 1st Line Service Desk Analyst to join their vibrant and dynamic company, in an interesting and diverse sector.

As a 1st Line Service Desk Analyst, you will be responsible for providing an exceptional level of IT support to a wide range of customers, from small charities to large international NGOs. As the first point of contact for incoming queries, you will support a large number of separate networks and environments.

Liaising with customers via the telephone, email and internet, you will resolve a wide range of technical issues including queries regarding desktops, servers, switches, firewalls and routers. Working alongside the IT Operations Team, you will log all resolved cases on our client’s service desk system and escalate any unresolved issues as appropriate.

To be considered for this role, you must have at least one year’s experience gained in a desktop or service desk analyst role within a Windows environment, including general desktop support and troubleshooting printers, scanners and photocopiers

As a 1st Line Service Desk Analyst, you must have superb communication skills, a professional and friendly telephone manner and excellent problem solving abilities. Analytical and enthusiastic, you must also possess a strong customer focus and a team player mentality.

Experience of using Apple Macs would be beneficial to your application, as would experience of maintaining Windows Server 2003, 2008 and MS Exchange. Basic knowledge of small networks, TCP/IP, router configuration or ITIL would be advantageous. A Microsoft MCSE, MCP, ITIL Foundation, CompTIA, ECDL or NVQ qualification would be equally favourable.
