This position is based in: Nottingham, Nottinghamshire
Salary: £14,000 – £17,000, DOE

THE COMPANY

Based in Eastwood, Nottinghamshire and established early in 2005, Pyranet UK have one simple objective – to provide high quality corporate level IT Support service to small & medium businesses in Nottingham, Derby & the surrounding areas.

This role has been created due to business growth so it is an exciting time to join our ambitious and expanding business.

The ideal candidate will already be working for an IT support company providing 1st line support for businesses with at least 2 years of experience who is looking for a similar role within the fastest growing IT support company in Nottingham.

MAIN DUTIES – IT SUPPORT ENGINEER (1ST LINE)

This role is to join our existing support team working with our existing 1st Line & 2nd Line support engineers to:

• Log technical support issues and ensure they are resolved in a timely manner within SLA`s by telephone and remote support
• Accurately document the progress of support resolutions into the businesses job management system
• Provide a high level of customer service to our existing client base over the telephone, e-mail and chat communication facilities
• Check & log any issues on our pro-active monitoring and alert service for clients servers
• Work with the sales team to promote our products and services over the phone
• Prepare Computers, Servers and Networks within the office which will be installed at their clients premises
• Occasionally assist 2nd Line Support Engineers with onsite installation or support work

KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE – IT SUPPORT ENGINEER (1st LINE)

You need to be an enthusiastic and experienced IT professional, but most of all you will need to be someone who can fit into a small team.

Ideally you will be Microsoft Certified, however applications that show the individual progressing towards Microsoft Certification will also be considered.

Other key skills and experience required include:

• Ability to accurately listen to, understand & document technical issues
• Knowledge and support of operating systems such as Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8 and Windows Server 2003, 2008, 2012
• Knowledge and support for Microsoft Exchange 2003/2007/2010/2012
• Experience in Server Hardware (Dell, HP, IBM etc) and different types of networking equipment
• Excellent communication skills at all levels
