Based in Andover

Full Time Hours – Monday to Friday

My client, based in Andover, has a vacancy within their IT team and would be a great opportunity for someone to progress in a technical career.

Working in this role, you will be supporting our client and colleagues in fulfilling all aspects of IT technical support, enabling all users to access all tools to fulfil their business needs with backup 2nd line Support.

In addition, you will have the opportunity to learn and develop further using SQL Automation tools and some database administration activities.

Your Key Accountabilities include:-

  • Working with the Business to clear 1st line support for all IT Telecoms and printing issues
  • Escalate all Tickets to 2nd line support (Outsource partners) when necessary for IT, Telecoms and Printer Issues
  • Supervise Freshdesk (the bespoke ticketing system)
  • Assist Database team with complex monthly processes
  • Train and develop skills in delivering ad-hoc database solutions
  • Ordering equipment through third party suppliers
  • Booking Couriers to deliver equipment across the country

About You

Essential

Previous experience in a similar IT role and exposure to:

  • Active Directory – Creating Users, Reset passwords, and syncing with AD Sync
  • Office 365 – Creating Users, Reset passwords, licence assignment to users within 365.
  • Windows 10 – Basic Troubleshooting with users via remote methods (Teamviewer).
  • General troubleshooting- hardware and software for any issues a user might have.
  • VPN – Experience using SSL VPN
  • Experience working in a help desk and customer driven environment
  • Ability to build Laptops from Manufacturing status to deployment to end user
  • Knowledge of using a Ticketing system
  • Excellent project delivery skills and ability to manage diverse and demanding workloads.

There will be a requirement to be flexible in terms of your working hours to meet business needs, as required.

Desirable

  • SQL programming and query writing experience using SQL Server
  • Use of CRM database applications, knowledge and experience in database administration
  • Experience of SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
  • Knowledge or experience of job automation tools like Task manager
