1:1 Teaching Assistant needed – Primary school in Rotherham – Immediate start

Your new company

Your new role
You will be working 1:1 with a student who has challenging behaviours. You will provide support both in and out of the classroom, ensuring they have the best environment for learning whilst also helping them to integrate socially. Working under the guidance of the class teacher and other members of SLT, you will encourage interaction and involvement in lessons whilst managing behaviour, and provide feedback on pupil progression.
The role is full-time, 5 days a week on an ongoing basis.

What you’ll need to succeed

• A minimum of 40 days experience working with children in the last 2 years. Knowledge and understanding of SEN would be beneficial, as would classroom experience – but this is not essential.
• A calm, patient and empathetic personality
• Ability to work independently or within a team
• Strong behaviour management and organisational skills
• A valid, enhanced DBS registered with the Update Service, or the willingness to obtain a new DBS
• Be immediately available and willing to commit
