1:1 Full Time Teaching Assistant Needed – Cardiff

Academics are currently recruiting for a 1:1 Teaching Assistant to work with a Year 7 pupil at a Cardiff secondary school, to begin work after half term. The role itself will primarily be to support a pupil reach his full potential by helping him to complete the work set and stay on task. Ideally, you will have experience in a similar role, however if you feel you have the necessary transferable skills you will also be considered.

The role is full time so you will be expected to be available five days a week, Monday to Friday. The rate of pay is negotiable depending on experience

The ideal candidate will have

• Experience of working in an education setting (desirable but not essential)
• The ability to form good relationships with both staff and pupils
• Recent professional references
• Proof of right to work in the UK
• Valid DBS/Police Checks
• Experience of working with children with SEN, ASD & BESD (desirable but not essential)
