10 X Hgv Class 2 & Hgv Class 1 Drivers Required – Temp to Perm

Our client is recruiting 10 x HGV Class 2 and HGV Class 1 Drivers to work on an PERMANENT, FULL TIME contract in the Hemel Hempstead area. These positions are a 12 week Temp to Perm with a permanent job at the end with our client.

Pay rates are;

• Class 1 Driver AM – Pay £13.77 Flat – 7 Days per week.
• Class 1 Driver PM – Pay £14.87 Flat – 7 Days per week.

• Class 2 Driver AM – Pay £12.66 Flat – 7 Days per week.
• Class 2 Driver PM – Pay £13.77 Flat – 7 Days per week.

AM’s run from 0001hrs to 1159hrs – The majority of drivers start between 0200hrs and 0700hrs on AM’s.

PM’s run from 1201hrs to 2359hrs – The majority of drivers start between 1300hrs and 1700hrs on PM’s. (The last driver out is usually before 1900hrs and most PM drivers are back by 2359hrs – Midnight)

There is a requirement for new drivers to work every Saturday and Sunday initially so we cannot accept anybody not prepared to do this. Ideally our client wants drivers temp – perm who want Wed & Thurs or Thurs & Fri as weekly rest days.

All drivers must have a good command of the English language. You will have to sit a 44 question multiple choice theory test prior to assessment which includes Drivers Hours / Working Time Directive, Highway Code & Road Signs. We can offer revision help with this.

All drivers that start temp – perm receive thourough training and induction to ensure that they know the job and procedures well.

Ideally you will have:

• Held your HGV Class 2 or HGV Class 1 entitlement for 1 year or more
• Have both a digital tachograph card and DCPC card
• Experience as a delivery driver with a good working knowledge of the UK road network
• Good physical fitness
• have no more than 6 points on your licence ( minor endorsements only)
