Special Needs Teaching Assistant to support a KS2 student 1-1 in Year 6. Ideally the right candidate to be Team Teach trained and have experience in supporting students that show Challenging Behaviour and Triggers.
To start as soon as possible – (temporary in first instance – may become permanent)
Monday – Friday (Term time only with Holiday pay)
Duties to include:
- Supporting a KS2 on a 1-1 basis with Challenging Behaviour
- Managing behaviour and employing de-escalation skills
- Facilitating learning through a workstation and work packs
- Ensuring a safe and organised environment for learning
- Identifying triggers and providing clear instruction
- Working as a team to develop trust and build relationships
Ideally to have:
- Team Teach trained.
- Experience and awareness of working with Challenging Behaviour and Special Need
- Confidence in effective boundary setting and understand transitions to next task
- Ability to work flexibly as part of a team
- A good understanding of professional boundaries
- Qualified with a relevant L2/L3 qualification
