1-1 Nursery Assistant Required in Walsall

Dedicated Nursery Assistant required to provide 1-1 support for a student with additional needs.

Your new nursery

A local nursery in Walsall are searching to recruit a passionate Early Years Teaching Assistant who can provide focused support throughout the day. This nursery is within commutable distance to the Walsall town centre and is surrounded by local amenities. This role is open to long – term and may continue forward to the end of the summer term.

Your new role

You will be working alongside several Nursery Practitioners, supporting students learning and understanding of tasks and activities. You will be responsible for providing focused support for a student with additional needs, tailoring activities to suit the learners’ needs. You will make use of your EYFS knowledge to assist in the planning of activities, engaging students through the use of indoor and outdoor activities. SEN experience would be considered desirable. As the nursery provides two sessions throughout the day, you will be required to provide general classroom support in the afternoon, assisting students throughout core subjects.

What you’ll need to succeed

• Level 2 or Level 3 childcare Qualification
• Recent experience in a nursery setting is essential
• Valid DBS
• Be passionate about students’ learning, tailoring activities to the learners’ needs.
• Confidently liaise with the Class Teacher and monitor students progression effectively.
