Job Purpose – Classic Ferrari Engine Builder

As a member of the GTO Engineering team provide auto mechanical support to designated classic car restoration and refurbishment projects in order to meet customer requirements. This will involve the provision of a range of auto mechanical services with a primary focus on engine building.

Duties and responsibilities

Engine examination and diagnostic testing of vehicle
Remove parts from engines and tagging them for inventory
Repairs and replacement of damaged engine parts.
Evaluation of information and data, interpretation of technical information and diagnosing the causes of any malfunctions.
Ordering parts from suppliers.
Carrying out inspections of completed repairs to ensure that the engine is functioning correctly
Road testing vehicles. Inspecting and testing as required.
Following a checklist to ensure that all key work has been done.
Re-assembly of engine component parts, where appropriate.
Completing administrative reports on any work performed.
Maintaining personal public and workplace cleanliness to protect all against workplace hazards
Observing health and safety standards and procedures at all times
Carry out any other projects in support of classic car restoration such as vehicle owner customization requests
