Modern Foreign Teacher – French

Salary: £144 – £168 per day

Modern foreign languages teacher required from January until Easter in South West Somerset. This full-time position is covering a permanent vacancy, so has potential to be extended. This would suit either qualified French teachers, or those who are confident to teach French but are non-specialists, as you will be fully supported with planning.

There is a highly skilled and caring Pastoral support team who work hard to ensure children become confident, resilient learners. 

 The role

• Teach French to KS3 
• Deliver high quality lessons within an agreed scheme of work 
• Full time temporary position 
• Jan until April – with a possibility for extension 
• An up-to-date working knowledge and understanding of a range of teaching, learning and behaviour management strategies 

The ideal applicant 

• Hold a relevant teaching qualification 
• Motivated linguist able to bring learning languages to life in the classroom 
• Confident in French 
• Demonstrated experience in teaching MFL 
• Have excellent communication skills 
• Be strong in behaviour management, facilitating the best learning environments in the classroom
