NPI Project Manager
Working as an NPI Project Manager for a leading hi-tech engineering company you will co-ordinate various cross functional teams taking responsibility for a range of projects from idea generation stage through to the introduction of the product into market. Co-ordinating teams of Mechanical, electronics, hardware and software engineers you will support project managers by leading the technical development aspects of the project. Other responsibilities will include:
– Leading product development from concept to production.
– Taking a lead in project milestone reviews by preparing and presenting the key technical documentation.
– Managing engineering change requests into production.
– Coordinate requirements capture and develop system requirements documents.
– Change controls of bills of materials and release management.
– Develop test rigs for product testing and validation.
– Support sales and marketing teams with technical enquiries.
– Take a hands on role in product development.
For this role you will need:
– Experience of taking a technical product to market.
– Degree qualified in a relevant engineering discipline.
– Significant experience of working with products with both mechanical and electrical/electronic components.
– New product introduction experience within a relevant hi-tech manufacturing industry.
– Experience of coordinating different engineering teams- mechanical, electronic, software etc.
– Strong understanding of a stage/gate product development methodology eg V –model.
– Experience of product testing
– A formal project management prince 2 qualification would be desirable.
