Excellent new opportunity! A Leading Chemicals Manufacturer based in the West Yorkshire area are looking to recruit a career driven Engineering Manager to join their senior leadership team. The business have performed excellently year on year (in spite of the challenge times of the past few months) and have gone through a period of significant investment in the last 12 months.
THE ROLE:
The Engineering Manager will report to the Site Director and assume responsibility for a team of 12 engineers on a lower tier COMAH site. They will be looking for someone who can manage the day of the function, as well be a vital part of a number of upcoming capex projects. It will require someone with strong leadership qualities, comfortable working in a demanding, fast paced manufacturing environment. Some key responsibilities for the Engineering Manager include:
Manage & improve the Maintenance department to help deliver 100% good products all the time
Lead the site Maintenance function in providing both a reactive and proactive, multi-skilled maintenance service
Manage the team on technical best practice
Responsible for managing maintenance and projects
To manage and implement an effective and efficient service for the maintenance of plant and equipment
Responsible for change management within the business
Head up a project of moving from reactive to proactive maintenance
THE PERSON:
The ideal Engineering Manager will be looking for a challenging role within an established organisation. The successful person needs to be competent in implementing PPM. Essentials for the successful Engineering Manager are:
Must have 3 years+ experience in leading Project and maintenance engineering teams
Recent experience in Chemical manufacturing environments is essential
Educated to a minimum of HNC or above
Experience in continuous improvement and streaming of a manufacturing process within maintenance
