Assistant Accountant

Our client, a leading brand synonymous with quality, is looking for an Assistant Accountant to join the fast paced finance team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a successful, international business with enviable openings to progress and develop existing skills in an all rounded Finance role.

Main duties:
-General bank and cashbook work
-Preparation and processing of bank statements postings
-Reconciling outstanding items in purchase ledger and sales ledger
-Bank reconciliation
-Tender reconciliation (cash, credit cards, gift cards)
-Cash flow forecasting
-Balance sheet reconciliation
-Month end accruals and prepayments
-Process implementation and improvement

The successful candidate will be AAT Qualified; part qualified ACCA/CIMA or qualified by experience. Most importantly the individual will have 2-3 years experience working in a similar all rounded role, within a medium or large sized company. Previous experience in retail or a multi site company is highly advantageous, and you must be confident with Excel at least to intermediate level.
