My client is looking for a 1st Line Systems Engineer ( Desktop / Citrix / AD / Windows / Microsoft ) who is highly motivated and career focused. As the 1st Line Systems Engineer ( Desktop / Citrix / AD / Windows / Microsoft ) you will be working with several financial organisations who manage a vast amount of risk and need robust, highly available, compliant IT systems with low internal ownership and management of platforms.

The ideal candidate will have at least a minimum of 1 year experience working as a Systems Engineer and will need to have excellent customer service skills as you will be the first point of contact and helpful telephone manner, the ability to relate to users at different levels of skill and experience and preferred experience within the finance industry.

You will be working as part of the Service Desk team providing 1st line PC and network support, focusing on delivering high first-time fix rates, raising purchase orders on behalf of customers. You will also be responsible for the escalation of incidents to relevant management and ensuring all logged incidents are logged with third party suppliers and other department.

Desirable skills for 1st Line Systems Engineer ( Desktop / Citrix / AD / Windows / Microsoft ):

• Citrix Administration;
• Data Centre cabling, racking and patching;
• Virtualisation VMware Server Administration;
• Experience with the Financial Services Industry;
• European or Japanese language skills (highly desirable)

Essential Qualifications:

• 2 Bachelors Degree or equivalent relevant experience;
• Experience working in support role.

Desirable Qualifications:

• MCSA or MCSE.
