Confident, assertive and empathetic individual required to join this established team in an Adjudication role, managing a caseload to resolve disputes between members and consumers

Job Description – Adjudicator – Stevenage

Duties will include;

• Managing a caseload of Alternative Dispute Resolution work (conciliation and adjudication)
• Using an online Case Management System
• Professional communication by telephone, email and letter
• Providing sound and timely legal advice to both retailers and consumers, and keeping abreast of current legislation
• Monitor, document and improve internal processes and procedures
• Author legal articles for publication in consumer and industry press as required
• Manage, organise and update various databases
• Work proactively to continuously improve the external profile of the company
• Develop and deliver training courses
• Promote available training courses to relevant parties
• Co-ordinate and project manage the integration of new business
• Proactively investigate new ideas in order to introduce additional revenue streams and business opportunities
• General office administration and telephone answering as required

Required Skills – Adjudicator – Stevenage

• Proven legal skills, with solid knowledge of current comsumer and contract law
• Law degree would be preferable but not essential
• Excellent personal organisation and presentation
• First class communication skills
• Effective conflict resolution skills
• Time management and prioritising skills
