Insight UK is looking for an Account Manager to manage a successful book of accounts within the Education arm of our Public Sector team in Manchester. This role will take on a number of accounts that are already spending with Insight, to both develop these and bring on new business from lapsed or new clients. This is a full time permanent position and we need a strong candidate who can hit the ground running. Ideally you will have an Education or IT sales background, but this is not essential.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a well established team, so we need someone who is hungry to succeed and wants to be part of an ever expanding part of the business.
You will be responsible for:
- Managing active accounts along with bringing on new business through outbound calling
- Maximising the opportunity presented by active contracts and frameworks
- Meeting or exceeding defined objectives and targets for profitable sales
- Reporting all required data on activity and performance in accordance with departmental and/or the team sales manager’s requirements
- Keeping detailed, accurate, up-to-date prospect and client information
- Accurately processing all orders in accordance with performance measurements
- Adhering to sales order processes
- Identifying opportunities for value added services sales e.g. Configuration, installation, Internet, professional services and leasing opportunities and engage with Insights specialist sales teams where appropriate
- Assisting clients with all questions and queries and where necessary refer to the relevant departments.
- Maintaining co-operative and productive inter-departmental relationships and procedures to deliver exceptional client services at all times.
- Communicating ideas for improvement aimed at enhancing performance and effectiveness at company, team, and personal levels.
- Developing product knowledge to required accredited standard
