12 Ton LGV Driver (Permanent role)

An established Ashford business are currently recruiting for an experienced LGV driver with a twist!

Overview: you will be required to deliver and install large timber buildings such as outhouses, stables, office blocks etc to sites across the UK.

Working within a team of 2 a typical week will be as follows:

Monday: Long distance travel, construction at various sites with an overnight stay.

Tuesday: Finish installations and return to Ashford.

Wednesday: Travel to local client sites and install products. (Kent / Sussex), return to Ashford.

Thursday / Friday: Travel mid England with possible overnight stays on a Thursday depending on the size of the installation.

Friday: Finish sites and return to Ashford.

Both members of a team are licenced 12 ton drivers and work together to complete the site installation to the highest of quality and delivery exceptional levels of customer services in doing so!

Essential requirements:

• Clean driving licence and digital tacho
• Over the age of 25 for insurance of the lorry
• Previous experience of working with timber products, installation would be an advantage but not essential.
• Good all round physical fitness is essential
• The willingness to work out doors in all weathers

The successful candidates will have can do attitude and a wellness to work hard in order to get the job done! You will be working 50/60 hours a week at time, most of which will be traveling to and from sites, our client is very willing to give development and training on the products as many are bespoke designs there for the willingness to learn is essential.

The Reward:

• Starting hourly rate of £26,000 per year paid from arrival at the depot to completion of the day (return to depot, Ashford or arrival at a hotel), with full product training you could increase hourly rate over a shourt period of time.
• 28 days holiday (Inc Bank holidays)
• 10 days off over Christmas
• Annual boot allowance
• All expenses paid for overnight stays.
• Monday to Friday working hours.
