Assistant Accountant – Central Banking

We need an experienced, insightful assistant accountant for the baking team who will be responsible for co-ordination and posting of bank transactions ensuring all our operating accounts are reconciled on a daily basis.

This would be an ideal introductory role into the Group Financial Control/financial accounting arena. Reporting to the Banking Manageryou will be directly responsible for posting the daily bank transactions to our main operating accounts, ensuring afternoon reconciliations are completed and subsequent reports are issued to senior management

The role comes with a strong emphasis of daily deliverables therefore we will require someone who is able to work within a time pressured environment.

For this role applicants should have a financial reporting/control mind-set with a thorough understanding of a bank account reconciliation process

You will be a self-starter and highly organised, and be able to multi task and prioritise activities.

With a methodical approach to work due to the nature of the role and its daily deliverables

AProven ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written)

Sound knowledge with Microsoft Word / Excel / Powerpoint

Prior use of Agresso and experience of working with credit card providers platforms would be advantageous

Part qualified accountant or must be prepared to study for an accountancy qualification
