Allied Live In Care are a dual licensed provider (adults and children) of care and nursing staff within the community, enabling service users to receive their long term care at home instead of hospitals or nursing/care homes.
We are currently seeking a team of exceptional live in carers for a female client who lives in a lovely large home in South West London
You will be working as a bank carer on a rolling rota to suit your working requirements, have your own room, receive 2/3 hour breaks daily, be rewarded exceptionally well and have all meals provided
If you are an experienced live in carer who is very active but not necessarilry wanting full time work this position may suit you. If you enjoy walks and swimming (not necessary as a swimmer), able to communicate in fluent spoken/written English, have a commitment to providing excellent care, preferably able to drive but not absolutely essential, then contact us now as training in the clients needs will be provided for the right candidates
The lady is in her early 40ies and is seeking someone of similar gender, ideally a car driver, who is very active to enable her to access the community and share in her interests. Our client has severe learning disabilities and epileptic fits. It would be useful, but not essential, that carers have previous experience in this field of care.
This is a long term self employed position on a rota basis and two live in carers are with her all the time with a team leader for assistance and advice.
Applicants must be prepared to travel to Westcliff on Sea for interview and pre-employment checks.
Duties:
- To adhere to the individual daily care plan
- Prompt medication
- Encourage independence where able
- Ensure safety of client
- Document/record all relevant information and report back to line manager
- Treat our client with dignity and respect without prejudice
- Comply with company policies and procedures
- Act as a companion, accompany on long walks and other social occassions
- Take client out and driving a mobility vehicle
- Attend any necessary medical appointments
- accompany on social events, walks, swimming and medical appointments
- Keep the house tidy, use the washing machine etdc
- Prepare easy healthy meals following the clients dietery needs
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a live in carer preferred
- Sticking to the care plan and follow instructions
- Be a team player
- Experience of learning disabilities & epilepsy awareness really useful
- Fit and very active, enjoying outdoor activities
- Attend all necessary training and update training needs when required
- To be punctual. committed and flexible with working arrangements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A dedication to improving the quality of life for our client
- Car driver as will be driving service users vehicle for trips out
