Position: Account Manager – IT Service Provider 
Location: Cobalt Business Park, Newcastle 
Job type: Full time, permanent 
Salary: £Competitive salary and commission payments, dependent on skills and experience

ROLE: 

Working as part of a newly built account management team, the Account Manager works to improve the organisation’s market position, achieve financial growth and improve gross profit margins. You will manage the existing customer base, ultimately looking to convert them to multi-product clients, and continue to grow their value to the business. 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

– Prospect for potential leads within the existing base and turn this into increased business 
– Set up meetings between client decision makers and company’s practice leaders / principals 
– Plan approaches and pitches – develop proposals that speaks to the client’s needs, concerns, and objectives. 
– Manage and maintain the renewal process to an agreed target 
– Contribute to marketing campaigns with a view to generating further revenue 
– Deliver accurate monthly sales reports 
– Attend industry functions and provide feedback and information on market and creative trends 
– Present to and consult with mid and senior level management on business trends with a view to developing new services, products, and distribution channels 
– Identify opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution channels that will lead to an increase in sales 
– Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop the company’s unique selling propositions and differentiators 
– Ensure that data is accurately entered and managed within the company’s CRM or other sales management system 
– Track and record activity on accounts and help to close deals to meet these targets 

ESSENTIAL SKILLS / EXPERIENCE: 

– Consultative selling experience in a B2B service environment, preferably with a background in IT or software industry 
– Experience working in a sales driven, KPI and behavioural measured environment 
– Demonstrable track record in exceeding sales targets 
– A positive attitude and a passion for delivering a high quality service to customers 
– Strong IT skills, MS Office, software packages, social media, intranet 
– Strong command of written and spoken English; good numeracy skills
