Job Title: Call Advisor

Hours: 16 – 37.5 hours per week depending on flexibility.

Shifts: 18.30 – 23.59 Monday – Sunday

23.59 – 08:00 Monday – Sunday

Salary: £26,000 per year – Living Wage accredited employer

Contract Type: Hourly Paid (Enhanced DBS Disclosure)

Locations: Redditch

West Midlands Urgent Care (WDUC) has recently been awarded the contract to deliver the NHS 111 service.

Our Call Advisors are pivotal to the provision of an excellent service to people using the NHS 111 service to address urgent care needs. They are responsible for answering calls to the NHS 111 service, taking and recording demographic details and carrying out an assessment of their needs of the patient, utilising clinical judgement supported by decision support software (NHS Pathways).

Successful applicants will have excellent communication skills, good IT skills, and experience of working in a customer service or health environment. Applicants will demonstrate high levels of personal commitment to facilitate the delivery of a high quality patient focused service.

All applicants will need to successfully complete 10 days of classroom based training plus a period of direct and indirect supervision. Post holders will need to be able to offer flexibility in their working hours to meet the needs of the service.

All training for the role will take place in Dudley and all candidates must be able to attend.
