My clients a well established freight forwarder based within the Heathrow area. They are seeking a Accounts assistant/ operations clerk- dealing with imports and exports.
The role would be 70% accounts and 30% import/export operations.
Duties would include:
- Daily accounting duties
- Overseeing sales and purchase ledger
- Looking at profit and loss reports
- Invoicing
- Carrying out BACS and CHAPS payments
- Ordering office necessities/ Stationary
- Raising job files
- Assisting with imports and exports
- Customs entries
- Liaising with hauliers, oversea agents and airlines
Skills needed:
- PC literal
- Experience using sage 50
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Knowledge of imports and exports
- Quick learner
- Experience within the freight/ courier industry is essential
Working hours:
- Monday- Friday 09:00-17:30
