Accounting Associate

An Accounting Associate is required to join this large pharmaceutical organisation based in Basingstoke. This is a permanent position and a competitive salary along with company benefits are offered for the suitable candidate.

The role specifically contributes to ensuring that inter-company transactions and fixed asset transactions are recorded accurately and on a timely basis. The role also ensures that Finance Operations account for transactions accurately and report to Group Reporting accurately, in a controlled manner and on a timely basis, through a wide range of activities relating to shared service accounting, involvement in month end accounting, balance sheet control and ad hoc project work. This role is suitable for candidates who are either entry level or part qualified.

You will be required to have a good understanding of double entry bookkeeping and general ledger concepts, have assisted with month end reporting and balance sheet reconciliations and be confident using Microsoft Office experience (particularly Excel). Fluency in another language such as French, Spanish or Italian is also essential.

It is preferable that you have previously worked with both SAP and Hyperion, have US GAAP knowledge and a previous knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry is also desirable.
