Our client based in Colchester, Essex, is looking to expand their team of highly skilled, motivated and friendly IT support personnel. They seek a 2nd/3rd Line Support Engineer.

They provide IT service and support to the SMB/SME sector across the south east of the UK.

The ideal candidate must be able to communicate with confidence with customers regularly over both the telephone and face to face on premise at ideally director level and have excellent customer service and communication skills.

The ideal candidate must have a UK clean driving license and have use of a suitable vehicle to carry out the requirements of the IT role at all times.

Essential Skills

• Server, Desktop O/S, Software Support
• HP Proliant, HP Desktop & Toshiba Laptop Hardware knowledge
• Windows 7 to 10 Desktop Support and Repair
• Microsoft Server 2008 to 2012
• Microsoft Office 2007 onwards
• Exchange 2007-2013 (on-premises & hosted)
• Storage, NAS, ISCSI
• At least 3 years IT Support experience
• Server Migrations/Upgrades/Transitioning

Desirable Skills

• Basic Network Infrastructure Knowledge
• VMWare ESXI, vSphere, vCenter & Veeam
• Build, deployment and configuration of Desktop PCs
• Avaya IP500 Phone Systems / SIP / VoIP
• Apple & Android OS
• Microsoft SQL Server / MS Access / API
• Classic ASP, HTML & VBS Scripting
• Sage 50 Accounts
• MCSE / MCP / MCSA
