Ambridge Harris Associates are recruiting for an Assistant Commercial Manager for a client based in Portsmouth.

The main purpose of the Assistant Commercial Manager role is to be the first point of contact for commercial support with a range of projects. You will be required to work with various teams and departments to meet all the operational needs of the business.

Key accountabilities will include:

• Support with bid preparation to include complex bids
• Building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Helping to resolve queries and issues
• Reviewing and drafting complex contracts and commercial agreements
• Supporting the evaluation of bids and opportunities
• Identification of commercial risks and issues
• Assisting with the negotiation of contracts and other agreements
• Adherence to and, where appropriate, input into or development of commercial policy

The ideal candidate will need;

• To have the ability to implement and manage commercial strategies
• A proven background in reviewing, negotiating and finalisation of complex contracts and commercial agreements
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence
• Understanding of contract terms and conditions
• Proven experience of working on complex bids
• Excellent IT skills

Competitive salary of up to ?42,000pa for the right candidate. This is an exciting role to join a well established business on the South Coast. The role would suit someone who has had exposure to Defence Contracts and Bids.
