The Tess Group are a national training provider covering all UK areas looking to expand their Assessor and Trainer coverage. This is a Freelance or Employed vacancy to work as an Apprentice / NVQ Assessor representing The Tess Group, delivering high quality learning in the workplace.
We are looking for an experienced Apprentice + NVQ Assessor to deliver Service Sector in Bradford.
Our Apprenticeship Training Assessors deliver work-based qualifications to learners by travelling to their workplace and motivating them to successfully complete their qualification with us. Our assessors have a passion for their respected industry and using their supervisory or management experience, pass their skills and knowledge onto learners to play a vital role in developing the workforce of the future.
Key tasks and responsibilities

Promote and safeguard the welfare of children and people you are responsible for or come into contact with as learners

Recruit, manage and visit a case load of learners monthly in line with our company standards

Motivate and drive learners to achieve their work-based qualifications within agreed timescales

Support the learning process through flexible learning units and facilitating workplace on the job training as required

Plan the assessment process with learners and employers – observe, record assessment, feedback and complete all documentation

Recruit learners and market training opportunities as appropriate to maintain caseload

Ensure learner retention is at a high level

Throughout learner qualification, provide information, advice and guidance

Maintain paperwork to the required standard

Monitor health & safety and equal opportunities within learner workplaces and update relevant documentation accurately

Provide learners with all the relevant policies and regulations to clarify what is expected of them and to ensure their safety
Essential Criteria

Minimum 1 years experience in an assessing role

Up to date Assessor qualification,

IT Literate
-
Effective communication skills
-
Planning and organisational skills

Strong administration skills
-
The ability to meet a range of targets

Up to date Literacy and Numeracy skills

The ability to work flexible hours and locations

Experience of delivering Key / Functional Skills

People management experience

Coaching/mentoring skills

Experience of working with young adults of mixed abilities

Selling skills

Teaching qualification e.g. PTLLS
