Our client in Brighton is looking for an accounts assistant to join their ambitious team.
You will undertake a variety of finance duties, incorporating purchase and sales ledger, general ledger accounting as well as analysing a range of financial information. This opportunity would suit a professional and confident individual who is eager to learn and develop within a supportive team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Completion of client’s bookkeeping from start to finish
- Trial balance
- Sales/purchase ledger
- Bank reconciliation
- Processing sales invoices, receipts and payments
- Completing VAT returns
- Completing CIS/PAYE returns
- Maintaining fixed asset registers
- Preparing Management Accounts and supporting schedules
- Dealing with prepayments and accruals
- Preparing year end files for the accountants
- Self-assessment tax returns
- Keeping up to date with the latest tax laws, rules and regulations
- Assisting the Senior Accountants
- Prepare appropriate schedules and reports as requested by clients and directors.
- Dealing with financial paperwork and filing
- Being able to communicate at all levels
Must have experience in an accountancy firm.
