Accounts Assistant – Immediately Available

We are currently recruiting for an immediately available Accounts Assistant for our Client, a design agency in the City of London.

The Accounts Assistant is responsible for the preparation of accounts payable, accounts receivable and all corresponding general ledger work to maintain company accounting records.

Key Responsibilities

• Distributes invoices to appropriate employees for job coding and approval, and inputs details onto Sage Line 50.
• Ensures authorised invoices are returned in a timely manner (in line with payment runs and supplier deadlines) and ensures they are coded to the appropriate project/ task.
• Processes payment runs.
• Reviews supplier statements to ensure all invoices have been received and processed.
• Responsible for maintaining the processing of Company Credit Cards and employee expenses.
• Responsible for the preparation of monthly bank reconciliations in GBP.
• Ensures that daily cash balances in the current accounts are maintained for regular outgoing payments.
• Preparing regular debtors reports to ensure timely payment of invoices, and chasing up outstanding invoices.
• Opens and distributes all finance post on a daily basis.
• Keeps invoice filing up to date to ensure queries can be answered quickly and efficiently.
• Providing relevant information for P11d’s.
