Accounts Assistant – Firm of Accountants

You will join as an accounts assistant working with commercial, smaller OMBs, sole traders and partnerships across varying industries and turnover.
This is the ideal position for AAT level accountants who are looking to progress with ACCA and with that get more exposure to management accounts and audit.

Responsibilities include:

* Preparing year end accounts and associated tax computations
* Bookkeeping for a mix of clients
* Preparing VAT returns
* There will be some on-site client facing element to it as well, working with clients and assisting the Senior Accountants
* You will develop and progress in the team and role
* Journals, accruals and prepayments
* Exposure to audit on and off site as the role progresses

The Ideal Applicant:

* Ideal candidate will be studying AAT or have working experience of accounts
* You will be looking to further your career, within a growing accountancy practice
* You will also have varied experience within practice including accounts, tax, VAT, bookkeeping & payroll
* You will have a keen eye for detail, the ability to work to deadlines.
