Assistant Commercial Accountant

Our client is one of the most successful and highly regarded businesses in Liverpool and part of a Leading $Multibillion t/o Global manufacturing/FMCG group. As Assistant Commercial Accountant you will report into the Commercial Accountant and assist in product costings, ensuring all standard costs are updated and preparing customer profitability reports.

Duties include:
• To produce product costings to commercial and operational managers as required
• Gather information from various departments to produce costings
• Issue Purchase Price Variance report
• Produce Monthly Customer Profitability Report
• Marketing monitors to be produced on a monthly basis as part of the month end procedure to provide information to marketing on spend levels.
• Provision of financial data and analysis to operational management, Finance Managers or Group Finance as required
• To ensure annual standards are correct and reconcile to buying file
• Interpretation, communication and enforcement of Group rules, policies and procedures
• Liaison with internal and external audit personnel as required
• To provide ad hoc information to commercial and operational teams as required

Applicants must be actively studying towards the final stages of AAT or starting ACCA/CIMA, previous experience working for a FMCG manufacturer would be advantageous. Strong MS Excel skills are essential.
