Accounts Assistant

Role Overview:

A great new role is now available for an Accounts Assistant to join our outstanding Linden Homes business, based from our new South West offices in Exeter.

This role is focused on transactional finance, you will be working in a team on all aspects of accountancy. The ideal candidate will have some experience in a clerical finance role, as an Accounts Assistant, Administrator or Clerk, alongside good Excel skills and the ability to learn and take on new duties.

Key Responsibilities:

• Weekly cash flows
• Weekly timesheet payroll
• Journals
• Completion statements/Deal sheet processing
• Sales extra invoices: Creating invoice and processing on ledger
• Raising, handling and processing credit notes
• VAT – Printing reports, creating returns online
• Daily sundries, sundry queries, BACS, CHAPS
• Return Reservations, reservation queries
• Daily banking
• AR set-ups
• Rent back standing orders, bank letters
• Oracle queries
• Oracle payment approvals
• Insurance claims: Registering/logging, claim collating information, dealing with solicitors emails.
• Daily post distribution
• Petty Cash – reconciliations and journals

Experience and Qualifications:

• Experience in a Clerical Finance / Accountancy role
• Competent Excel skills (comfortable with large spreadsheets of numbers, SUM formulae etc
• Oracle experience is desirable
