The Company

Part of a Global media and events organisation this International Intelligence business, which specialise in the provision of research and business intelligence on the global data storage industry. The research coverage extends to the facilities and technologies of the storage of data and includes outsourcing and investment trends within varied industry sectors (e.g. telecoms & media, industry, finance, government etc.). This organisation provide business intelligence products which include:

  • Research reports

  • Whitepaper

  • Data tools

  • Bespoke projects

The Role

Within this position you will be involved in all aspects of customer acquisition and retention, including sourcing new clients, building existing client relationships and renewing customer contracts. The job will be based in The New York office and will involve international travel to events, conferences and client sites.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve the target set for your territory of prospects and accounts

  • Contact both new and existing prospects to purchase subscriptions and reports

  • Identify opportunities to cross / up sell bespoke services

  • Developing an understanding of potential & existing clients, including their changing business and technology issues and needs

  • Work closely with the Global Accounts Team to ensure targets are met and ongoing negotiations are communicated effectively

  • Working with Intelligence analysts to develop an understanding of the team’s existing research products and services

  • Ensure all proposals, leads and contacts are followed up & completed within agreed time scales

  • Ensuring all sales activity is accurately recorded on the CRM system

  • Build excellent long term client relationships, offering value-added, insightful and strategic input to their business

  • Liaise with the other sales teams to develop, deliver and grow the profitability of the event, publishing and intelligence business

  • Contract renewal activities focused on client needs

  • Communicating professionally

  • Providing a high level of customer service

  • Follow up marketing Campaigns, Webcasts, Events, EMAIL, etc

  • Accurate forecasting and pipeline management

  • Undertake regular business reviews with management to evaluate performance and client growth opportunities

The person

To be considered for this position you will be experienced at developing new and existing business and have proven success at the management and closing of complex sales. Your will be successful managing multiple client relationships whilst achieving targets. You will be able to develop and deliver personal sales strategies. Knowledge of the Telco or IT related industries would be beneficial.
