£36,000 – £48,000 depending on experience + car

The Company:
A rewarding and exciting opportunity has arisen for an Account Manager to join the UK’s most progressive and vibrant distributor of motorcycle hard parts, e.g. batteries, oils, chains, motor parts and accessories and tyres. The UK subsidiary of an international leader in the market, they are a hugely successful company still active today and one of the leading lights of the motorcycle industry, distributing high-profile brands synonymous with style and quality.

The Job:
Coventry based, reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for Major National and International Accounts covering all aspects of account management including project managing new and prospective R&D tenders for major UK automotive and motorcycle manufacturers. You will help with the Managing Director’s day-to-day duties and shadowing and supporting him as required through with this multi-disciplined role. As part of this multi-disciplined role you will be liaising with sales, R&D, purchasing, marketing, direct communication with clients and general support as required.

Key Responsibilities:
* National and International Account management.
* Liaising and prospecting with new customers regarding special orders
* Briefing Marketing department with requirements as they arise
* Providing sales support via e-mail and telephone as required
* Replying to clients on the MD’s behalf as and when required
* Specialising in a range of tyres that include car, van, 4×4 tyres, truck, bus and cycle tyres
* Managing OEM projects, liaise with global factories, regional office and customer
* Following up with factories on enquiries, deliveries
* Helping support the sales process and day to day operations within the UK, Irish and mainland European customers
* UK travel immediately
* International travel – probable
* Global travel – in time
* Multi disciplined role covering all aspects of Account Management

The Person:
* You will be educated to degree level, could be a graduate looking for your next career opportunity
* Demonstrate excellent entrepreneurial skills
* Will have experience of sales or a purchasing background
* Commercial experience is essential
* Project Management experience is preferable
* If experienced, you will have a minimum of 3-5 years in a commercial sales and/or purchasing capacity
* You will be objective and demonstrate the ability to ‘think outside the box’
* Recommend new ideas and business strategies
* Close communication with the MD at all times
* Be prepared to challenge some business decisions
* An excellent communicator
* An ability to speak and write Mandarin is preferable
* An ability to speak and write a European language is preferable
* Good written and verbal communication skills
